Melinda & Josh’s Rose Garden Wedding at Red Butte Garden | Salt Lake City, Utah
The perfect backdrop for a wedding.
Melinda and Josh’s outdoor celebration in the Rose Garden at Red Butte Garden was perfect.
Nestled in the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains in Salt Lake City, this day was not only beautiful—with clear blue skies and perfect temperatures, it was also full of so much heart and soul.
From the moment that I met these two, I knew they were my people. In the big, wild world of weddings, finding couples you instantly click with is such a gift—and Melinda and Josh were absolutely that for me. Their day was so enjoyable and overflowing with love and support—the kind that gives you goosebumps and maybe even a happy tear or two behind the camera.
From the start of the day to the finish—so much laughter, incredible food, and the dancing! Their DJ was awesome! (and I felt it the next morning) and the dance floor was alive all night long. Every moment felt like a celebration—not just a celebration of Melinda and Josh’s love, but for all the people who’ve poured into their story. Friends and family came from all over -many from their home state of New Hampshire and the East Coast, which made the whole day feel even more meaningful.
Red Butte Garden is one of my all-time favorite venues in Utah. The views are breathtaking, and the portrait options are basically endless—from a serene dock on a pond, to the formal rose gardens where Melinda and Josh said “I do,” to a dreamy oak tree tunnel that feels straight out of a children’s storybook. And if you’re into nerdy plant facts, the history of those oak trees is full of little gems. The Red Butte team is amazing. Their planners are total pros—so warm, organized, and such a joy to work alongside. They make it a dream to be a photographer there.
Melinda and Josh, thank you for letting me be part of such a meaningful, joy-filled chapter in your lives. Your love is big, real, and deeply contagious—in the best way. Here’s to a lifetime of dances, deep belly laughs, and starlit evenings.
